Hiring Senior Procurement Specialist – China Market Expert (Oil & Gas)
About the Role:
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Procurement Specialist with extensive experience in the China market and fluency in Mandarin to join our global Oil & Gas team. This strategic role will focus on optimizing procurement operations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective supply chain solutions within the Chinese market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement strategies for Oil & Gas projects, with a focus on the China supply chain*
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/vendors in China to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Manage contracts, RFQs, and tenders while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities within the China procurement landscape
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, operations, finance) to streamline procurement processes.
- Resolve supplier disputes and ensure timely delivery of critical materials and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related Technical field
- Additional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) are a plus.
Experience:
- 10+ years in procurement/supply chain within Oil & Gas or heavy industries
- 5+ years of direct experience working with China-based suppliers and markets
Language & Regional Expertise:
Fluent in Mandarin and English (written & spoken).
Deep understanding of Chinese business practices, regulations, and supply chain dynamics
-Skills:
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis abilities.
Proficiency in ERP/SAP and procurement software.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
