Join GitHub as a Senior Partner Engineer
GitHub, the leading AI-powered developer platform, is expanding its Product Partnerships team and is seeking a Senior Partner Engineer to strengthen partner integration capabilities and drive ecosystem innovation. This role involves working closely with strategic partners, customers, and internal teams to design, build, and scale high-quality integrations across GitHub Copilot, MCP, GitHub Copilot SDK, and Copilot CLI. You will translate partner and customer needs into actionable technical solutions that influence GitHub’s product roadmap and deliver value to the broader developer community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer and Industry Insights: Analyze partner, customer, and industry trends to identify high-impact integration opportunities. Advise internal teams and partners on ecosystem strategies.
• Reference Solutions & Prototyping: Build and maintain reference integrations, sample apps, SDK extensions, CLIs, workflows, and architectures demonstrating best practices in security, scale, and developer experience. Create technical proofs of concept and points of view.
• Deep Technical & AI Enablement: Provide hands-on workshops, documentation, and labs for partner engineers. Offer guidance on integrating GitHub Copilot and AI workflows, including telemetry, prompts, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Trusted Advisor & Technology Strategy: Serve as the partner’s technical voice within GitHub, highlighting integration friction points, API limitations, and ecosystem opportunities. Influence platform capabilities and prioritization.
• Integration Lifecycle: Own end-to-end integration processes from design and prototyping to production deployment, security review, and operational monitoring. Ensure integrations meet GitHub-quality standards.
• Product Voice and Influence: Act as the technical advocate for partners, providing feedback on product gaps and roadmap suggestions.
• Sales and Launch Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and partner management teams to unblock technical issues, validate joint value propositions, and support launches. Participate in demos, webinars, and public presentations.
• Operational Excellence: Define and implement integration success metrics, including performance, reliability, and security standards. Promote a culture of innovation, clarity, and empathy for developers.
Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years in business development, partner management, strategy, or technical consulting.
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, developer platforms, and generative AI, including LLMs or prompt engineering.
• Proven ability to execute complex technical integrations with partners independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9+ years experience in partner management, corporate development, or related technical-business roles.
• Hands-on experience managing end-to-end integration lifecycles with external partners.
• Deep knowledge of agentic development, GitHub Copilot workflows, and scalable software integrations.
