General Purpose:


The DevOps Senior Manager provides technical leadership, strategic guidance, and operational oversight across the software delivery lifecycle. This role includes responsibility for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, system reliability, and deployment processes. The Senior Manager ensures scalable, secure, high-performance environments while promoting collaboration between development and operations teams. The position interfaces with key business units and IT groups to align DevOps practices with organizational objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead hands-on technical engineering efforts for infrastructure development using modern tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and JIRA.
  • Apply DevOps practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automation.
  • Implement DevSecOps processes and monitoring strategies.
  • Manage, mentor, and coach DevOps engineers, providing performance feedback and ensuring adherence to engineering and security practices.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals within the DevOps space.
  • Employ Agile/Iterative methodologies to deliver high-quality, flexible solutions. Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to optimize processes.
  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency across Ross.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required:

  • 10–15 years of IT experience within a Fortune 500 or similar environment.
  • Minimum 5 years managing DevOps teams, including offshore teams.
  • Strong technical background in DevOps and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and ALM tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Bitbucket, JIRA.
  • Knowledge of DevOps best practices, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to engage internal stakeholders and translate technical concepts into actionable solutions.

Physical Requirements / ADA:
Ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Includes sitting, standing, walking, attending meetings, typing, and handling files. Regular attendance and timeliness required.
