We’re Hiring: Senior IVF Medical Coder
A leading fertility and assisted reproduction center in the region is seeking a highly skilled Senior IVF Medical Coder to support clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with deep knowledge of fertility, IVF, and ART-related coding who can strengthen revenue cycle operations and ensure precise medical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assign ICD-10-AM, CPT, and DOH/HAAD-compliant medical codes for IVF, ART, obstetrics, gynecology, laboratory, and surgical services
- Review, assess, and validate clinical documentation related to fertility treatments such as IVF, ICSI, IUI, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, cryopreservation, and associated procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to DOH Abu Dhabi regulations, insurance policies, and payer-specific coding requirements
- Serve as a subject matter expert for IVF coding practices, reimbursement guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Work closely with physicians, embryologists, nursing teams, billing, and revenue cycle departments to clarify documentation and resolve coding-related issues
- Perform regular coding audits, identify compliance risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Assist in denial management through detailed coding reviews and support for appeals
- Stay up to date with coding updates, regulatory changes, and fertility-focused billing practices
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight to junior coding professionals
- Maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality, ethical conduct, and data protection at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on medical coding experience, with strong exposure to IVF and fertility services
- Professional coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of DOH Abu Dhabi regulations and UAE insurance coding standards
- Proven background in ART, OB-GYN, and laboratory coding
- Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
