Description:
GFAD is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant / Healthcare Finance Specialist to join its growing healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for finance professionals with strong general ledger accounting expertise and prior experience within the healthcare or hospital sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, general ledger management, budgeting, tax compliance, audits, and financial analysis while supporting strategic financial planning. Candidates with ERP system expertise and strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities and General Ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed assets management and inventory accounting.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure VAT and Corporate Tax compliance in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning initiatives.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of Accounting & Finance experience.
• Prior experience within a hospital, healthcare, or healthcare group environment is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (EBS/Fusion), SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong knowledge of:
• Financial reporting, General Ledger accounting, and month-end/year-end closing
• Budgeting, forecasting, VAT, Corporate Tax, and audit coordination
• Oracle ERP (EBS/Fusion), SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel
