We’re hiring a Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our Dubai finance team — immediate joiners only. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who will take ownership of core GL activities, ensure compliance with IFRS, and support month-end and statutory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the General Ledger with accuracy and adherence to IFRS and internal policies.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and reliable reporting.
- Prepare, review and post journal entries; perform account reconciliations and produce financial statements.
- Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to support audit requirements and statutory filings.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to assist management decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare schedules and documentation required for statutory audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA/CA/CPA or equivalent is preferred.
- 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience with a clear focus on General Ledger operations.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards.
- Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience is advantageous).
- Must be available to join immediately and be based in Dubai.
