Description:
VC Lab, operated by Decile Group, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to collaborate with multiple venture capital firms. This role involves partnering with general partners, assessing their needs, streamlining financial accounting processes, and ensuring timely delivery of financial data. The ideal candidate will bring strong fund accounting experience in venture capital and a willingness to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams. Remote candidates based in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting, analytical, and financial reporting operations
- Assist general partners in making informed decisions using strategic portfolio data and report metrics
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
- Prepare investor allocations, ensuring accuracy of fees and allocations
- Generate financial information for investor reports
- Collaborate with third-party providers for tax preparation and relevant financial reporting
- Contribute to product and software improvements through cross-functional collaboration
- Transform fund administration into a software-driven business through consultative client engagement and efficient processes
Requirements:
- Experience in fast-paced organizations
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles
- 3+ years of venture capital experience
- Comfortable and effective in a remote work environment
- In-depth knowledge of Venture Capital Fund Administration
- Thorough understanding of Limited Partnership Agreements
- Proactive, passionate, results-driven, and takes ownership
- U.S. work authorization required; visa transfers not supported
