Carr Talent is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our mission-driven, fun-loving remote team. Our company partners with business owners, primarily in the $1–20 million per year revenue range, helping them grow their companies through effective systems, internal controls, and team development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with accounting while supporting entrepreneurs and expanding their business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate, error-free financial records and ensure all transactions adhere to standard accounting principles
• Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Desktop) and internal controls for accurate financial reporting and compliance
• Reconcile CRM, banking transactions, and incoming/outgoing payments with QuickBooks ledger entries
• Implement accounting controls to reduce risk and prevent fraud
• Prepare and deliver timely financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Analyze financial data to explain variances, identify trends, and support decision-making
• Manage vendor service agreements, W9s, AR/AP, banking, ACH payments, collections, credit cards, receipts, and other vendor-related financial processes
• Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time via ACH
• Prepare and file Sales & Use tax, quarterly estimates, and Year-End 1099 forms
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance reporting efficiency
Qualifications:
• Proven 10+ years as a Senior Bookkeeper and Controller (minimum 5 years performing hands-on accounting for small businesses)
• Expertise in QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) and strong technical accounting skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to educate non-financial team members and enforce policies collaboratively
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
