Description:
Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior E-Billing Specialist to join its remote team. This role focuses on managing end-to-end legal e-billing processes, ensuring accurate invoice submissions, and resolving billing issues for e-billed clients.
The position requires strong technical expertise in e-billing systems, high attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, and vendors to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely billing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare LEDES files for submission via web-based e-billing systems or email and resolve related errors.
• Manage e-billing processes for complex clients and ensure invoice accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines.
• Review invoices for correctness, approvals, and adherence to firm policies and procedures.
• Monitor invoice validations, approvals, reductions, and rejections while resolving billing issues.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors for onboarding and implementation of e-billing systems.
• Provide technical support to attorneys and staff regarding e-billing processes and compliance.
• Track timekeepers, rates, and update e-billing systems accordingly.
• Prepare and submit monthly accruals through multiple billing platforms.
• Collaborate with collections teams to reconcile accounts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal e-billing within a large law firm.
• Experience with major e-billing systems (Legal Tracker, Brightflag, CounselLink, TyMetrix, and others).
• Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Proficiency in Outlook and Adobe Pro.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• E-billing systems and invoice processing.
• Legal billing guidelines and compliance standards.
• Financial reconciliation and reporting processes.
