We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in data infrastructure and distributed systems to shape the future of our data platform. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic system design, allowing you to build pipelines and infrastructure that power analytics, machine learning, and product decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect, develop, and scale real-time and batch ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Build and maintain data platform infrastructure, including streaming systems, orchestration frameworks, CI/CD, cloud environments, and observability tools.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and business teams to deliver impactful data products that support data-driven decisions.
• Maintain production readiness and operational excellence of data systems, including monitoring, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
• Promote best practices for data quality, lineage, documentation, testing, and governance across the engineering organization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve scalability, reliability, developer velocity, and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to long-term platform architecture, including data modeling, storage strategies, compute design, and lifecycle management of data products.
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years in Data Engineering or backend engineering roles with a strong focus on data infrastructure.
• 4+ years building distributed data platforms using streaming frameworks like Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming.
• 4+ years experience with CI/CD tooling and DevOps technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, Terraform).
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Spark, PySpark, Java, or Hadoop.
• 4+ years developing and optimizing dbt models with testing, version control, and documentation best practices.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Luigi.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and streaming systems.
• Familiarity with OLAP datastores (Clickhouse, Apache Pinot, DuckDB) and BI/visualization tools (Redash, Superset, Tableau, Lightdash, Power BI).
• Experience scaling production systems in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations for data and infrastructure systems.
Preferred Qualifications / Bonus:
• Experience with AI/ML/LLM/MCP/agentic-AI workloads.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with modern streaming formats such as Delta, Hudi, or Iceberg.
• Application or front-end development experience.
