Description:
ECS is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data and AI Engineer to join our team remotely. This role is critical in bridging technical, business, and customer needs to deliver effective solutions and drive strategic improvements. The ideal candidate will be an expert in large-scale data architectures and AI technologies, capable of leading cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, and delivering high-impact solutions to meet enterprise needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines to identify challenges and deliver improvements
- Apply expertise to support customers in building complex strategic solutions
- Serve as a central facilitator for understanding organizational drivers and challenges
- Support business development by aligning strategic solutions with customer requirements
- Develop roadmaps for architectural capabilities deployment to address organizational data challenges
- Work hands-on with developers to deliver solutions and provide customer-facing support
- Communicate technical solutions to stakeholders at multiple leadership levels, highlighting business value
- Mentor data engineers, establish best practices, conduct code reviews, and align solutions with business objectives
- Build data-driven solutions to improve business insights, operational decisions, and performance management
- Work in Agile environments and leverage advanced design and engineering practices
- Utilize cloud-native data and AI technologies on Azure and AWS, and platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir
Required Skills:
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain Public Trust Clearance
- 10+ years IT experience including design, analysis, and implementation of large-scale data architectures
- 5+ years experience in Data, AI, and Generative AI tools
- Expertise in data management, data architecture, data warehousing, big data tools, analytics, and data science concepts
- Hands-on experience with Python, Django, Flask, Java, PostgreSQL Vector, Nifi, Bash scripting, API development, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with on-prem and cloud development environments
- Ability to evaluate new technologies, recommend solutions, and articulate associated risks
Desired Skills:
- Experience with DHS and understanding of DHS standards
- Proven success in consulting and advising customers in complex environments
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and methodologies in cloud/IT space
