Description:
Ad Hoc LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join its remote team and contribute to innovative data-driven projects supporting public-sector digital services. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in data analytics, reporting, and visualization, as well as experience in Google Analytics or DataDog RUM. The position focuses on enabling government agencies to deliver scalable and impactful digital experiences, working across multiple teams, and providing actionable insights from complex data sets.
The Senior Data Analyst will operate as an individual contributor while developing leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement skills. The role involves analyzing data, designing dashboards, driving improvements in analytics processes, and supporting strategic decisions through high-quality reporting and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced data visualization and reporting, communicating UX implications and best practices
- Analyze, clean, and process large datasets using statistical software languages
- Lead team working sessions and improve processes for maintaining high-quality data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on larger projects and mentor junior analysts
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and identify inconsistencies or edge cases
- Interact with adjacent data practices, including statistical modeling and data pipelines
- Capture metrics from multiple data sources, synthesize insights, and provide a holistic view of usage, satisfaction, and behaviors
- Support program delivery, implement standards, and ensure metrics align with stakeholder expectations
- Participate in technical interviews and evaluate candidates for analytical roles
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in a data-focused role or equivalent experience
- Expert-level knowledge of SQL, Google Analytics, and/or DataDog RUM
- Strong dashboarding, reporting, and data visualization capabilities
- Experience in agile software development on cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments and identify risks while recommending mitigations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior government contracting experience
