Description:
Richmond CS is looking for a highly experienced Senior Contract Engineer to join its growing team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for a contracts professional with a strong background in engineering and construction projects, contract administration, and commercial contract management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle, managing claims and change orders, reviewing contract documentation, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Applicants must possess strong knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and be confident in negotiating with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
Candidates must have a transferable Iqama and be fluent in both Arabic and English.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage contracts throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Review contract terms, project specifications, commercial conditions, and scope of work.
• Handle contractual claims, variations, change orders, extensions of time, and official correspondence.
• Conduct commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Identify contractual risks, ensure compliance, and support dispute avoidance and claims assessment.
• Prepare professional reports, documentation, and contractual communications.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Contract Engineer, Senior Contracts Specialist, or a similar position in the engineering and construction industry.
• Strong expertise in contract administration and contract management.
• Experience managing claims, contractual variations, and extensions of time.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Transferable Iqama is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of:
