A Brief Overview
Join Hunt Companies as a Senior Compensation Analyst and play a central role in shaping competitive and equitable pay programs across the organization. You will manage compensation data, run market analyses, support salary planning cycles, and help configure and maintain compensation systems that drive consistent pay decisions and internal equity.

What You Will Do

  • Perform data analysis, modeling and audits of job and employee information to ensure accuracy and alignment with pay strategy.
  • Draft and review job descriptions that accurately reflect responsibilities, qualifications and reporting relationships.
  • Evaluate new or revised job roles to determine appropriate market benchmarks and pay positioning.
  • Support development and maintenance of the company salary structure, FLSA assessments, job leveling and career path frameworks.
  • Lead or contribute to compensation surveys and market pricing exercises; analyze survey results to recommend competitive actions.
  • Prepare budgets, accruals and expense submissions related to compensation programs and coordinate with Finance/Accounting.
  • Build business cases and analyses for base pay, short-term incentives and long-term incentive plans.
  • Configure, test and support compensation administration, job description management and market pricing systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline compensation processes and drive system or policy improvements.
  • Research legislative changes (ERISA, FLSA, equal pay considerations) and recommend compliant practices.
  • Mentor junior compensation staff when required and collaborate with HR partners to ensure programs support business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required; Master’s or MBA in HR preferred.
  • Experience: 4–6 years administering base pay and incentive programs; prior involvement in compensation analytics, market pricing and job evaluation.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, MATCH/INDEX, PivotTables) and experience producing clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Demonstrated project management capability and experience handling multiple, competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of compensation best practices and relevant legal standards (e.g., ERISA, FLSA, equal pay guidance).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical analysis to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High integrity with strict confidentiality when handling sensitive personnel and pay data.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a plus.

Compensation

  • The typical hiring range for this role is $85,000 – $95,000 (base), excluding potential bonuses and additional benefits. Final offers will be based on experience, location, skills and other relevant factors. The role is eligible for performance-based incentives.
