Description:
Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Claims Representative to manage complex and mid-to-high exposure bodily injury and property damage claims under Ryder’s self-administered liability program. This role involves investigating and adjusting claims, directing defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts, and other vendors throughout the claims-handling process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate and adjust claims, directing outside defense counsel, independent adjusters, and experts.
• Supervise vendors retained for investigations, cost containment, expert witnesses, and litigation management to ensure proper handling of claims according to jurisdiction.
• Advise the Claims Manager on law changes affecting Ryder’s liability program.
• Assist Claims Manager in identifying exposures and recommending solutions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, insurance carriers, and third-party claimants.
• Collaborate with the Law Department on significant cases and provide updates to field operations personnel.
• Recommend and set reserves to reflect probable ultimate payout based on documented file developments.
• Complete detailed and quality internal reports.
• Routinely interact with primary and excess insurance carriers, and re-insurers according to reporting thresholds.

Compensation & Benefits:
