Description:
A leading organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer to develop scalable backend services and AI agent orchestration systems for an enterprise AI platform. This role is ideal for professionals who have strong expertise in backend architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise-grade software development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building secure and high-performance backend solutions, integrating enterprise platforms, and supporting AI-driven applications in on-premise environments. You will work closely with AI, Data Science, and Frontend teams to deliver reliable, production-ready systems that meet enterprise security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop AI agent orchestration systems, workflow logic, and scalable microservices.
• Build secure API integrations with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, and enterprise data platforms.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) services using vector databases and retrieval technologies.
• Integrate external data sources through secure and efficient API connectors.
• Implement authentication, role-based access control, audit logging, and data protection mechanisms.
• Optimize backend services for secure on-premise and air-gapped deployments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability through tracing and optimization.
• Collaborate with AI, Data Science, and Frontend teams to deliver enterprise software solutions.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably with distributed systems or production AI platforms.
• Expert proficiency in Python using FastAPI and/or Django.
• Strong programming skills in Go or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, and API gateways such as Kong or NGINX.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and vector databases such as Weaviate or Milvus.
• Knowledge of AI agent frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and enterprise integrations.
• Familiarity with SAP integration protocols including OData and SOAP is an advantage.
• Experience working in secure, high-availability environments. Background in FinTech, healthcare, or defense is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Python (FastAPI/Django), Go, or Java development.
• Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed systems.
• REST APIs, gRPC, PostgreSQL, vector databases, and enterprise AI architectures.
