Key responsibilities include:
- Lead development of major projects and contribute to cross-team initiatives
- Participate in product work, provide technical feedback, and suggest solutions
- Maintain a deep understanding of the team’s product and engineering domain
- Review code, contribute to the shared codebase, and mentor other engineers
- Debug and resolve technical and business issues
- Investigate and implement platform improvements
- Design and implement APIs focused on performance, scalability, and maintainability
Requirements:
- Proven experience building, shipping, and maintaining complex software projects as a Senior Backend Engineer
- Proficiency in Postgres or similar databases
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with functional programming languages (Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, Haskell, etc.)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, React, Vue, or Angular
