Description:
A UAE-based tax consultancy office expanding into a licensed audit firm is looking for a Senior Auditor to support its growing audit practice in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have strong external audit experience, particularly within the contracting industry.
The role involves leading audit engagements, developing audit programs, reviewing internal controls, preparing audit reports, and supporting the firm’s transition into a licensed audit practice. The successful candidate will also mentor junior team members and contribute to maintaining high audit standards.
This opportunity is suitable for a qualified audit professional who wants to grow with an expanding organization and take part in building a developing audit practice in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage external audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Develop audit programs and perform detailed audit procedures.
• Review financial controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare accurate audit reports and documentation.
• Mentor junior audit team members and provide professional guidance.
• Support operational improvements during the firm’s expansion into a licensed audit practice.
Requirements:
• Fully qualified CA (Chartered Accountant).
• 3–8 years of external audit experience.
• Mandatory experience in contracting audits.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 standards.
• Experience in AML, sanctions, and operational audits.
• Academic certificate attested with UAE equivalency.
• Police Clearance / Good Conduct Certificate.
• Must be based in the UAE.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• External audit procedures and financial reporting standards.
• Audit controls, compliance, and risk assessment.
• IFRS requirements and regulatory practices.
