We’re hiring a Senior AP Specialist to help maintain accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls across AP processes.

Role Summary:
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will own invoice intake and coding, support vendor payments and purchase order upkeep, and assist with controls around travel & expense and corporate card spend. This role works cross-functionally with procurement, finance partners and business stakeholders to resolve issues and continuously improve AP workflows.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process and code invoices — review incoming invoices, determine appropriate GL accounts, and enter them into the AP platform (Zip) with complete documentation.
  • Coordinate approvals — work with business owners to route invoices for timely sign-off and follow up to avoid delays.
  • Support payment runs — assist with weekly payment cycles to ensure accurate vendor disbursements.
  • Maintain purchase orders — update POs and collaborate with procurement and operating teams to clear discrepancies.
  • T&E & card compliance — review and code travel, expense and corporate card transactions to ensure policy compliance.
  • Vendor & internal communication — engage with vendors and internal partners to resolve discrepancies, process credits, and answer payment queries.
  • Documentation & archiving — keep invoice records and supporting documents organized and audit-ready.
  • Month-end & audits — assist with reconciliations, provide AP schedules for close, and support internal/financial audits.
  • Process improvement — identify and recommend ways to increase AP efficiency and accuracy.

What You Have:

  • 3+ years of AP or related accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with invoice flows, credit-card expense processes and ERP tools; experience with Brex, Zip and NetSuite is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to partner with stakeholders across the business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline preferred.

Compensation Note:
The listed salary range is $64,000 – $93,000 USD. Final offers will depend on each candidate’s experience, skills, certifications and geographic location.
