We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team and ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and purchase orders, while supporting compliance across travel and corporate card spend.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Review invoices, determine proper general ledger coding, and enter invoices into our AP tool (Zip) with all supporting documentation.
🔹 Partner with business teams to route invoices for approval and ensure timely processing.
🔹 Facilitate weekly payment runs, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on schedule.
🔹 Maintain and update purchase orders, resolving discrepancies with procurement and business teams.
🔹 Support travel & expense (T&E) and corporate credit card compliance, reviewing and coding spend in adherence with policies.
🔹 Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice or payment issues, including discrepancies, past dues, and credits.
🔹 Archive invoices and supporting documentation, complying with audit and regulatory requirements.
🔹 Assist with month-end close by reconciling AP accounts and preparing supporting schedules.
🔹 Participate in financial and regulatory audits by gathering and presenting AP documentation.
🔹 Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within AP operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
🔹 3+ years of Accounts Payable or related experience.
🔹 Familiarity with credit card expense management, invoice handling, and ERP systems; experience with Brex, Zip, and Netsuite preferred.
🔹 Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business teams.
🔹 Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
🔹 Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
