Description:
A reputed organization in the construction and manufacturing sector is currently hiring a Senior Accountant to manage and oversee core accounting operations related to ongoing construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination across multiple departments.
This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience in project-based accounting, and a solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting activities including journal entries, ledger updates, and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry into accounting systems and ERP platforms
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support management reporting requirements
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with proper documentation and accuracy
• Assist in inventory valuation and material costing in coordination with procurement and production teams
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of construction activities
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations, accounting standards, and internal financial policies
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial reports and documentation
• Monitor project-related expenses and assist in budgeting and financial planning activities
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of all financial data across accounting functions
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 to 8 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or precast industries within UAE/GCC
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles
• Experience in inventory accounting and material costing in construction or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines efficiently
