Description:
Clear Way Ventures LLC-FZ is recruiting an experienced Senior Accountant on behalf of a leading shipping company based in Dubai. This opportunity is suited for professionals with a solid background in UAE shipping accounting who can manage financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
The selected candidate will oversee daily accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, VAT documentation, and audit coordination. Applicants should have strong analytical skills, hands-on accounting experience within the shipping sector, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and month-end/year-end closing reports.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Review shipping-related invoices, operational expenses, and account allocations.
• Monitor cash flow, supplier payments, and outstanding customer balances.
• Reconcile customer, supplier, and intercompany accounts.
• Coordinate VAT documentation, audit requirements, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• 6–8 years of UAE accounting experience within a shipping company.
• Strong knowledge of shipping accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with month-end closing, cash flow management, and audit coordination.
• Sound understanding of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
