About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our U.S.-based subsidiary, which operates help desks for eCommerce clients. As the business transitions toward greater financial autonomy, this role will be pivotal in establishing strong financial management, reporting processes, and internal controls that support growth and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare and deliver accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and group accounting policies.
- Manage account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between financial and operational data.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and expense management.
- Ensure timely and compliant delivery of end-of-year tax filings (e.g., 1099s, W8s) and handle sales tax/VAT requirements in domestic and international contexts.
Business Partnering & Insight
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to provide actionable financial insights.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify performance drivers.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning aligned with group finance.
- Highlight financial risks and opportunities to enable data-informed decision-making.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Assess and enhance financial workflows, approval systems, and reporting tools.
- Automate repetitive accounting tasks for accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
- Maintain clear communication channels with central finance and escalate issues when necessary.
Leadership & Culture
- Promote financial discipline, transparency, and accountability within the organization.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
- Uphold ethical standards and collaborative engagement with divisional and group colleagues.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Active CPA qualification.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a plus).
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or ERP systems.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with financial reporting responsibilities.
- Proven experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
Preferred Experience
- Supporting or partnering directly with business leadership or CEOs.
- Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
