🚀 We’re Hiring – Senior Accountant (Worldwide Remote)
HelpGrid, a performance-driven growth partner for eCommerce brands in health and wellness, is seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Senior Accountant to join our U.S.-based subsidiary. This subsidiary develops and operates help desks for clients across the eCommerce industry. The role is central to building robust financial management, reporting processes, and controls as the business transitions to greater financial autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare and deliver accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Manage account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between financial and operational data.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and expense management.
- Ensure timely and compliant delivery of end-of-year tax returns (e.g., 1099s, W8s) and handle sales tax/VAT requirements domestically and internationally.
Business Partnering & Insight
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to provide actionable financial insights.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers behind performance trends.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning in alignment with group finance.
- Highlight financial risks and opportunities proactively for informed decision-making.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Assess and enhance financial workflows, approval systems, and reporting tools.
- Automate repetitive accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
- Maintain clear communication channels between the subsidiary and central finance.
Leadership & Culture
- Act as a cultural anchor, promoting financial discipline, transparency, and accountability.
- Mentor and guide team members to foster ownership and continuous improvement.
- Uphold ethical standards and collaborative engagement with divisional and group colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active CPA certification required.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or ERP systems).
- Proven experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Preferred: Experience partnering directly with CEOs or leadership, exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments.
