Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in strengthening controls around the month-end close process. This includes performing account reconciliations for revenue and expense accounts while supporting the scaling of our growing business. The role involves close collaboration with the Finance team and engagement with teams across the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Manage revenue recognition according to ASC606
· Validate contracts for revenue recognition, including invoicing, forecasting, and documentation
· Oversee general accounting functions: cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, P&L, balance sheet management
· Perform key account reconciliations, including revenue, accounts receivable, and partner fees, in collaboration with finance and other teams
· Handle all revenue recognition during month-end and prepare monthly reconciliations
· Manage Accounts Receivable and collections processes
· Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
· Maintain accurate and thorough documentation according to company policy and accounting practices
· Assist in financial statement audits with external firms
· Prepare reports for external parties as required
· Support other finance projects as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· CPA certification preferred or in progress
· 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience
· Experience with external audit, preferably 2 busy seasons in Big 4 or large CPA firm
· Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and FASB rules and standards
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong computer desktop skills required
· NetSuite experience required; Advanced Management Revenue (NetSuite) experience required
· Salesforce experience preferred
· Highly organized with strong record-keeping skills
· Ability to learn new software and productivity tools
· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment
· Attention to detail and timeliness in all tasks
Compensation:
USD $85,000 – $95,000 per year. Compensation may vary based on education, certifications, experience, location, performance, and organizational needs.
