Description:
dbt Labs, a leading analytics engineering platform, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone eager to ensure accurate financial data management while collaborating with a talented team. You’ll contribute to process improvements, support audits, and help maintain robust accounting operations at a rapidly expanding SaaS company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute GL month-end close tasks, including journal entries, cash matching, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses and investigate variances
- Assist in internal and external financial reporting
- Support audit requests and inquiries from external auditors
- Help create and implement new accounting policies and procedures
- Enhance business processes, systems, and documentation as part of internal control initiatives
- Manage ad hoc accounting projects and special requests as needed
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of private industry accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of month-end close, transaction matching, journal entries, and financial statement analysis
- Experience with NetSuite and modern finance tech stacks (Ramp, Zip, Numeric)
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High integrity, positive attitude, team-oriented, and collaborative mindset
- Experience working asynchronously with fully remote teams in high-growth environments
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
Preferred / Standout Qualifications:
- CPA or CPA equivalent
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS company
