Description:
Stallant Health & Wellness is currently seeking an experienced and detail-focused Senior Accountant to join its expanding healthcare services team. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity suited for professionals who value autonomy, accuracy, and integrity while handling complex accounting responsibilities in a virtual environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to manage closing cycles and financial reporting independently. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy while supporting leadership with meaningful financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
• Perform advanced account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Review budget versus actual results and provide clear variance analysis to leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and apply best practices for remote operations
• Support audit preparation, documentation, and tax-related schedules
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience using accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA designation is highly desirable
• Prior experience within healthcare settings such as rural health clinics (RHC), FQHCs, or similar organizations
• Familiarity with healthcare billing cycles, insurance processes, and regulatory requirements
• Comfortable working remotely using collaboration tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
