Tres Health is currently seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accountant to support the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role plays a key part in journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end close activities, while ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and healthcare regulatory standards.

Position Summary:

  • Support accurate financial reporting through journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes
  • Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure balances are fully supported
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team on audits and ongoing reporting requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation across accounting operations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, and period-end adjustments
  • Perform detailed balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, lookups, and formulas to analyze large datasets
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Track and analyze accounts receivable balances, aging, and collection trends
  • Prepare reconciliation schedules, workpapers, and audit documentation
  • Assist with manual vendor payments related to self-billing processes
  • Support treasury functions and revenue recognition reconciliation activities
  • Analyze and interpret moderately complex financial data
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, audit standards, and applicable healthcare regulations
  • Maintain accounting documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger exposure
  • Proven hands-on experience using QuickBooks
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work standard Eastern Time (EST) business hours in a remote setting

  • Full-time, fully remote position
  • Work hours aligned with Eastern Time (EST)
  • Flexibility required for deadlines, meetings, and occasional travel (0–10%)
