Description:
A well-established organization in the UAE is currently hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The selected candidate will work closely with the Accounts Manager and will be responsible for overseeing core accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance activities, and process improvements within the department.
This role is ideal for professionals who possess strong analytical abilities, hands-on ERP system experience, and a solid understanding of UAE financial regulations and IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle complete accounting operations including general ledger management, reconciliations, accrual entries, and financial provisions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and provide support during Corporate Tax filing processes
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors by preparing and organizing required financial documents and reports
• Conduct financial analysis, prepare variance reports, and assist management with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Work on ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or Microsoft Dynamics to improve financial workflows and reporting efficiency
• Monitor accounting records and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and maintained
• Assist in implementing accounting controls, compliance procedures, and operational improvements across the finance department
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory
• Minimum 4–6 years of practical accounting experience, preferably in the UAE market
• Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and Corporate Tax requirements
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting functions effectively
