Description:
A premium organization operating in the luxury watches segment, specializing in pre-owned high-end timepieces, is seeking a highly detail-oriented and commercially focused Senior Accountant. This is not a routine accounting role — it requires deep expertise in handling high-value inventory, strong financial oversight, and a solid understanding of VAT regulations, especially within the resale market.
This position is ideal for professionals who have worked with luxury brands such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, or Audemars Piguet and are comfortable managing financial operations where accuracy and accountability are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
• Manage inventory accounting for high-value items, ensuring alignment between system records and physical stock with zero tolerance for discrepancies
• Implement and monitor VAT Profit Margin Scheme (PMS) for pre-owned goods
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements
• Conduct margin analysis and track profitability on a per-unit basis
• Monitor cash flow and prepare detailed financial reports
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance
Requirements:
• 4–6 years of accounting experience within UAE or GCC markets
• Background in luxury retail or high-value trading such as watches, jewelry, or similar products
• Strong expertise in VAT, particularly the Profit Margin Scheme
• In-depth knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, and margin analysis
• Experience handling high-value inventory ranging between AED 50K to AED 500K per item
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong audit mindset
• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA
• Experience in pre-owned or resale business models
• Exposure to multi-currency transactions
