Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is key for supporting financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with IPO preparation within our fast-growing e-cigarette and packaging company. Effective communication with stakeholders and partners in both English and Chinese is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Support IPO readiness, financial disclosures, and coordinate with regulatory bodies and external advisors.
• Lead coordination with external auditors and support internal audit processes.
• Translate and draft financial reports and investor materials in English and Chinese.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, financial regulations, and ESMA requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize reporting workflows.
• Collaborate across legal, operations, and investor relations teams.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work additional hours when needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with audit exposure.
• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English.
• Experience with IPOs, capital markets, or financial disclosures.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and SAP.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai.
• Exceptional attention to detail, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
• Experience in FMCG, trading, or regulated products is an advantage.
