Description:

We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join Al Kaenat Group’s Dubai office. The role will take ownership of the accounting function for both domestic and overseas operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient day-to-day accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable supervising junior staff while supporting audits and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements on a timely basis.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax rules, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation during audits.
  • Analyze budget variances, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support financial planning.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff; allocate tasks and review work.
  • Ensure accounting practices adhere to IFRS and applicable local financial regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or ACCA preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience; GCC experience preferred (home country experience will also be considered).
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software, especially Tally Prime.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis).
  • Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and practical compliance experience.
  • Familiarity with IFRS and audit processes.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Experience in oil & gas sector is an advantage.
