Description:

MAATS Auditors and Consultants Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager – Accounts to join its expanding audit and accounting team in Dubai. This role offers an excellent opportunity for finance professionals who possess strong accounting expertise, client management capabilities, and knowledge of UAE taxation requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting businesses with VAT and corporate tax matters. The position provides exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries within a professional and growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounting activities for assigned client companies.

• Finalize accounts and prepare accurate financial statements.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.

• Attend client meetings and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.

• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements.

• Manage VAT registration, amendments, refunds, and deregistration processes.

• Provide guidance and support to clients regarding accounting, VAT, and corporate tax compliance.

• Assist in resolving financial reporting and taxation-related matters.

Requirements:

• CA, CA Inter, CPA, CMA, or ACCA qualification (fully or partially qualified).

• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.

• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting or audit experience.

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience within a UAE audit or accounting firm.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and client relationship management abilities.

• Strong knowledge of:
