Description:
Mai Al Darmaki Companies Management is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its office-based team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for a finance professional with extensive accounting experience who can oversee the financial operations of multiple companies while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and accounting standards.
The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting business decisions through financial analysis, and improving accounting processes. The position also involves working closely with auditors, management, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the complete accounting cycle for multiple companies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure VAT compliance and handle tax-related requirements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries.
• Coordinate with external auditors and relevant regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and internal company policies.
• Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Implement, maintain, and optimize accounting systems to improve financial operations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 7–10 years of accounting experience.
• Proven experience managing the accounts of multiple companies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT regulations.
• Accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Odoo, Tally, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
• Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, and financial reporting.
