Description:
📢 Air Products is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Account Representative to cover the Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada territory. You will sell industrial gas products, equipment, and services to customers across manufacturing, food packaging, chemicals, labs, aerospace, semiconductor, and oil & gas sectors. This role is residence-based and requires a proactive salesperson with strong prospecting, negotiating, and executive-level presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage existing customer accounts — strengthen relationships, expand wallet share, and drive profitable growth.
- Develop new business — identify prospects, present proposals, and close contracts for industrial gases, equipment, and related services.
- Execute full sales cycle including prospecting, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
- Use P&L understanding and CRM tools to manage portfolio profitability and pipeline.
- Partner cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Strategic Account Managers, Business Managers, Commercial Technology, Asset Management, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing and Operations.
- Support marketing and field events such as seminars and trade shows to showcase products and generate leads.
- Monitor territory market trends and leverage referral networks to build a strong opportunity pipeline.
- Travel as required within the territory; some overnight travel may be necessary.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–4 years of demonstrated sales experience and portfolio management.
- Comfort presenting and negotiating at an executive level with strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience in customer-facing engineering or operations roles preferred.
- Ability to read and use contractual language to protect and expand operating income.
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel throughout the territory.
- Technical aptitude; industrial gas experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
