Description:

Charter Schools is currently hiring Secondary English Teachers for an American Curriculum School in Abu Dhabi for the 2026–2027 academic year. This opportunity is open to both local and overseas candidates who are passionate about education and committed to creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment.

The ideal educator will be energetic, creative, and skilled in delivering interactive English lessons that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and strong communication skills. Experience working with EAL/ELL learners will be considered an advantage. Candidates should be prepared for a recruitment process that includes a demo lesson for shortlisted applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging English / ELA lessons aligned with the American curriculum

• Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes active learning

• Encourage student participation, discussion, and critical thinking skills development

• Apply modern, student-centered teaching strategies and 21st-century learning approaches

• Support students with varying learning needs, including EAL/ELL learners

• Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Maintain effective classroom management and positive student behavior standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related subject + recognized teaching qualification

• IELTS score of 7.0 or above

• Proven experience teaching English / ELA at secondary level

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans

• Experience supporting diverse learners is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of:

 • American curriculum standards and teaching methodologies

 • Classroom management and student engagement strategies

 • Assessment and literacy development techniques
