Description:
A reputable educational institution in Dubai is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counsellor to join its team starting August 2026. This role is essential in supporting students’ emotional, social, behavioural, and academic wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes mental health awareness and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions for students and relevant stakeholders
• Offer support during crisis situations and develop individualized intervention and support plans
• Design and lead school-wide wellbeing programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to identify and address student concerns
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with safeguarding and child protection policies
• Assist in developing and implementing school policies related to student wellbeing and safety
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture
Qualifications & Skills:
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related discipline
• Proven experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical environments
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection frameworks (UAE experience is an advantage)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills
• Ability to plan and deliver effective wellbeing initiatives and programs
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
