Description:
UnitedHealth Group, through its Bunkie HomeCare division under LHC Group, is seeking a motivated Schedule Specialist / Office Assistant to support daily administrative and clerical operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a healthcare environment and contributing to efficient patient care coordination.
The selected candidate will assist with scheduling, data entry, documentation management, and communication between patients, physicians, and internal teams. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, supporting workflow efficiency, and ensuring smooth coordination of home care services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine clerical and office support tasks including filing, scheduling, and data entry.
• Answer phone calls and relay messages accurately and professionally.
• Review and follow up on reports related to orders, recertifications, and unverified visits.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records through scanning and documentation.
• Conduct discharge chart reviews and assist with audit processes.
• Process physician orders and track documentation for timely completion.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and referral sources.
• Support overall workflow management and administrative coordination.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills including typing and data entry.
• Strong clerical, organizational, and communication skills.
