Job Opening: Safety Officer (2 Positions)
Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
We are looking for a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join our Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on our projects, helping to create and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
.Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the company’s Health & Safety Management System;
- Conduct safety inductions and identify training needs for employees.
Maintain records of hazardous materials and ensure their safe storage and handling;
- fire safety systems, PPE, and first-aid equipment regularly;
- Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend preventive actions;
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and plant visits;
- Ensure only certified equipment and trained personnel are deployed on-site;
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and sub-contractors on safety matters;
- Maintain HSE documentation and compliance registers; compile safety reports.
.Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Technology, or Science with a 1-year Industrial Safety Certification (e.g., NEBOSH);
- Minimum 2 years of HSE supervision experience, preferably in the manufacturing or construction sector;
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages;
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
