Description:
Lotschberg General Contracting L.L.C is urgently looking to hire a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join its project team in the UAE. This role is ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience in maintaining workplace safety standards within construction or infrastructure projects.
As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by implementing health and safety policies across project sites. Your duties will include monitoring daily site activities, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all safety procedures are strictly followed by workers and subcontractors.
You will conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to minimize accidents and maintain compliance with company policies and local regulations. Ensuring that all safety documentation, permits, and reports are properly maintained and updated will be a key part of your responsibilities.
The role also requires you to coordinate closely with engineers, supervisors, and project teams to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions where necessary. You will be expected to provide safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to workers to raise awareness about safety practices and emergency procedures.
Additionally, you will investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining safety signage across the site will also fall under your scope of work.
