Description:
GECO M&E LTD is seeking a motivated and qualified Safety Assistant to support its Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team across construction, MEP, electrical, and industrial projects in the UAE. This role is ideal for candidates with site safety experience who are committed to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
The selected candidate will assist in implementing safety procedures, monitoring workplace compliance, supporting HSE activities, and promoting a strong safety culture across project sites. Candidates with recognized HSE certifications will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the HSE team in implementing daily site safety activities.
• Monitor compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with Permit to Work (PTW) processes and site safety inspections.
• Promote the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Participate in Toolbox Talks and other safety awareness activities.
• Observe and report unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and related documentation.
• Support the implementation of health and safety standards across project sites.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant site experience.
• Good knowledge of PPE, Permit to Work (PTW), Toolbox Talks, and site safety procedures.
• Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification will be an added advantage.
