The ROI Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Release of Information (ROI) operations by assisting with the accurate and timely fulfillment of medical record requests. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining high-quality standards in data handling, customer communication, and workflow resolution.
The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capability to coordinate with multiple internal departments to resolve issues efficiently and maintain operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Release of Information Specialists in resolving issues related to medical record request fulfillment
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all applicable federal and state data protection laws
• Perform data entry and quality control checks for medical record request processing
• Communicate effectively with customer service teams and internal departments to resolve request-related issues
• Investigate and resolve workflow and record discrepancies to minimize delays in processing
• Identify and escalate critical issues to management in a timely manner
• Support accurate handling and tracking of patient medical information across systems
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 months of experience with Sharecare HDS or related roles (QC, Customer Service, or Credit & Collections) required
• Experience of 1 year or more preferred in healthcare or administrative support roles
• Familiarity with electronic record systems such as BactesInMotion, Record Management systems, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs when required
• Strong manual dexterity for computer and documentation tasks
• Good eyesight for reading and reviewing digital and paper records
• Clear communication ability for verbal interaction
• Adequate hand-eye coordination and auditory processing skills
