We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Review Clerk to join our growing remote team. This role is well-suited for individuals with strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual work environment. The Review Clerk plays a key role in supporting clerical operations and ensuring the smooth flow of medical and administrative records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, organize, and verify data to support efficient and accurate entry processes
- Compile, prioritize, and sort information with a high level of precision
- Perform accurate data entry for incoming faxes while maintaining strict quality standards
- Ensure timeliness and consistency across all assigned data entry activities
- Demonstrate working knowledge of state, federal, and client contract requirements, including submission timelines and documentation standards
- Serve as a backup for administrative and customer service functions as needed
- Maintain professional and effective communication with internal teams and external partners in a remote setting
- Organize and manage the electronic file room, including filing, retrieval, and tracking of medical records
- Receive, log, and route incoming medical records, verifying receipt dates, postage, page counts, and system entries
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy of required information
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs
- Read, understand, and comply with all corporate policies, including HIPAA privacy and security requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of data entry experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong data entry accuracy and efficiency
- Familiarity with database systems and data management tools
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Professional telephone and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience handling faxed documents and file formats such as PDF, Word, and TIF
- Clear verbal and written communication skills when working with diverse audiences
