Description:

RYZE is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Retention Analyst to support its subscriber retention strategy. This role plays a key part in understanding customer behavior, analyzing churn patterns, and providing actionable insights that directly influence retention initiatives across the organization.

The Retention Analyst will work closely with the Retention Manager and leadership team to build data models, track key performance indicators, and develop dashboards that guide decision-making. The role requires strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights that improve customer retention and lifetime value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze churn data, cancellation trends, and at-risk subscriber behavior

• Build and maintain subscriber segmentation and behavior models

• Identify patterns in cancellation reasons and provide actionable insights

• Develop and maintain retention KPI dashboards and reporting systems

• Conduct LTV analysis and churn impact modeling

• Create cohort-based reports across acquisition channels and subscription types

• Support A/B testing design and performance analysis for retention campaigns

• Collaborate with engineering and CX teams to ensure accurate data integration

• Work with marketing, finance, and analytics teams on retention reporting

• Maintain data accuracy, documentation, and reporting consistency

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, or retention analytics

• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (advanced level required)

• Experience with SQL is preferred

• Experience building dashboards using BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Sigma, or similar)

• Strong understanding of subscription-based business models and churn analysis

• Ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

• Strong knowledge of:

• Cohort analysis and customer segmentation

• Retention metrics, churn modeling, and LTV analysis

• Subscription analytics and BI reporting tools

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with Shopify, Recharge, Klaviyo, or similar platforms

• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis

• Experience in A/B testing and statistical evaluation

• Exposure to machine learning or predictive churn modeling
