Description:

Humana is seeking a Research Operations Lead to support its Design Research practice within the Consumer Digital organization. This remote role will partner with Design Research leadership to manage research operations, knowledge systems, tools, governance, and team engagement initiatives that enable efficient research delivery and improved user-centered healthcare experiences.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing scalable research practices, maintaining research infrastructure, supporting team development, and ensuring effective collaboration across Experience Design teams. This position is ideal for an experienced research operations professional passionate about improving consumer experiences through healthcare innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage insights repositories, research toolkits, file-sharing spaces, and knowledge management resources.

• Develop and maintain best practices, research templates, methodological guidance, and documentation.

• Establish taxonomy, tagging, access management, and archiving processes for research resources.

• Manage research tools, software platforms, permissions, and utilization.

• Coordinate vendor contracts, renewals, and account management for research tools.

• Track research vendor costs, budgets, and operational requirements.

• Partner with Design Research leadership to facilitate meetings, events, and team communications.

• Track and report research capacity, contributions, and business impact.

• Maintain and update research policies, standards, and compliance procedures.

• Support team training, accountability, and ethical use of research practices.

• Facilitate professional development activities, peer feedback sessions, and team learning initiatives.

• Communicate research contributions, best practices, and impact across the organization.

• Support advancements in AI-enabled research practices.

• Set up and manage specialized research participant panels when required.

• Collaborate with enterprise research teams to support participant management activities.

Requirements:

• 8–10 years of experience delivering research operations contributions within digital product organizations.

• 5–8 years of experience independently managing research operations.

• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, organizational, and operational coordination skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within complex team and stakeholder environments.

• Advanced education or expertise in design research tradecraft.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative UX and design research methodologies.

• Passion for improving consumer experiences within healthcare organizations.

• Experience with design thinking, innovation, and agile product development environments.
