An Expa affiliate company is seeking a curious and analytical Research Associate to support research projects across software, hardware, hospitality, and other emerging industries. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy exploring new topics, analyzing markets, and turning complex information into clear and actionable insights.
The selected candidate will work closely with experienced leaders and teams, conducting market research, competitive analysis, and industry studies. This position offers exposure to a wide range of projects and is suitable for self-driven professionals who enjoy solving challenging problems and working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct open-ended research projects covering markets, companies, products, funding activity, technologies, regulations, and industry trends.
• Analyze research findings and transform complex information into clear reports, comparison tables, market maps, and presentations.
• Build competitive matrices and detailed research briefs to support business decisions.
• Identify key insights, uncertainties, and opportunities beyond basic information gathering.
• Use AI tools to improve research efficiency and develop better solutions.
• Create lightweight tools, trackers, or scripts when required for research projects.
• Manage multiple research assignments and adjust priorities based on changing requirements.
Requirements:
• 0–2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to solve unfamiliar problems.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Hugging Face, and similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and take initiative.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate research clearly and concisely.
