Description:
Cleveland Clinic is seeking a dedicated Reimbursement Specialist to join our team of passionate caregivers. In this role, you will ensure compliance with billing and coding protocols while managing financial operations related to patient accounts. You will collaborate across departments, assist with onboarding new physicians, and perform research and analysis to maintain accurate reimbursement practices. This is a fully remote position with a typical schedule of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain compliance with billing standards and departmental policies for all services performed.
• Identify operational efficiencies and opportunities for improvement in business office functions.
• Manage accounts receivable, including denial analysis and resolution of payment issues.
• Monitor departmental AR to ensure appropriate reimbursement levels and financial stability.
• Analyze AR data to identify discrepancies and collaborate with contract management for resolution.
• Conduct revenue-reporting analysis and recommend adjustments to fees for procedures and services.
• Maintain departmental charge master files and review professional and technical charges regularly.
• Support departmental expansion, practice startups, new service lines, and affiliate programs while ensuring compliance and revenue capture.
• Conduct research analysis, IDE compliance, and billing follow-up activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCS-P), RHIT, RHIA, or CCA preferred.
• Four years of extensive CPT and ICD-9-CM coding, billing, and reimbursement experience.
• Familiarity with third-party and government payer regulations.
• Experience providing education, trend analysis, and reporting related to revenue and reimbursement.

Physical Requirements:
• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 15 pounds.
• May require extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting.
• Adequate vision through normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:
• Follow standard precautions using PPE as required for procedures.
