Description:
Federal Express Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Records Management Specialist to lead and oversee initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, predictability, and consistent delivery of records and information management services. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of records management-related projects, from creation and preservation to disposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage records management processes to ensure compliance with business, financial, legal, and administrative requirements.
  • Create and oversee training for employees responsible for maintaining records and information, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update the FedEx Records Management and Retention Schedule along with all related policies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders to implement and leverage information systems in support of records and information management initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and support projects related to information governance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations on records management practices.
  • Basic understanding of information security and organizational priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience overseeing projects and familiarity with records retention, disposition, and electronic records management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a large organization in Information Governance and Records Management.
  • ICRM certification or ARMA membership.
  • Skilled in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, content management systems, and electronic information systems.
  • Strong report writing, policy drafting, and data analysis skills.
