Description:

JOB PURPOSE:
Support the Ready-Mix Operations Superintendents in running safe, efficient and compliant ready-mix concrete operations. This role helps oversee daily batching plant activity, raw material reception and concrete delivery processes, while ensuring quality standards, safety rules and local UAE regulations are applied across the site.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Administrative Tasks:

• Monthly attendance verification — check and confirm monthly attendance records for plant operators, helpers and drivers.
• Leave & shift support — assist with leave planning and shift rostering to maintain adequate coverage.
• Operational records — maintain daily logs and prepare routine operational reports.

Resources / Equipment Utilization:

• Manpower & equipment coordination — assist in allocating staff and machinery to meet production needs.
• Batching plant monitoring — track plant status during the shift and escalate equipment or production issues to the Superintendent.
• Production report checks — review entries for accuracy and compliance with operational procedures.

Raw Material Management:

• Yard oversight — monitor raw material stock levels and the condition of materials in the yard, ensuring processes align with UAE rules.
• Shortage reporting & process improvement — flag material shortfalls and recommend improvements to handling or procurement procedures.

Asset Management:

• Truck mixer availability — monitor the deployment and readiness of truck mixers and update the Superintendent on their status.
• Driver schedule adherence — ensure drivers follow delivery schedules and comply with safety protocols.

Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce safety standards — implement Cemex Zero4Life safety rules and ensure compliance with UAE labour and local safety regulations.
• Toolbox talks & inspections — conduct daily safety briefings and routine site checks.
• Incident reporting — document and report incidents, near-misses and unsafe behaviours promptly.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education / Professional Experience:

• Degree — Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience — Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ready-mix or related operations.
• Language skills — Proficient in English; knowledge of Hindi and Arabic is an advantage.

Job Specific Competencies / Operational Knowledge:

• Ready-mix expertise — hands-on experience with ready-mix concrete operations and batch plant processes.
• Safety leadership — proven ability to enforce plant safety through talks, monitoring and corrective actions.
• Technical familiarity — experience with batch plants, water treatment systems, truck mixers and heavy equipment such as loading shovels.
