Description:
Telal Engineering & Contracting L.L.C. is currently hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor – Estimation (Pre-Contract) to join its construction team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in UAE building projects and a solid background in cost estimation, tendering, and quantity surveying activities.
This role requires a highly analytical professional who can handle pre-contract estimation tasks, prepare BOQs, analyze tender documents, and support project budgeting and cost control processes. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial planning and cost efficiency across construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform quantity take-off for building and infrastructure projects
• Study tender documents and prepare technical and commercial queries
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for costing and submission
• Develop Material Take-Off (MTO) for various construction jobs
• Prepare subcontractor and supplier packages and obtain competitive quotations
• Assist in preparing tender BOQs for project submissions
• Support project teams with budget preparation and cost estimation activities
• Prepare variation orders, cost analysis reports, and financial evaluations
• Monitor project costs and identify gains, losses, and resource utilization efficiency
• Manage claims preparation, evaluation, and negotiation processes
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Conduct financial analysis and support government tender submissions
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 4–5 years of UAE experience in construction (building projects) is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying and estimation practices
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or similar estimation software
• Experience in BOQ preparation, tender documentation, and cost estimation
• Knowledge of government tender processes will be an advantage
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
